UPDATE 9/11/07 I took the puppy to vet today. The SPCA would have put down a healthy dog. The reason for his hair loss was because we was starved. NO MANGE! NO WORMS! NO MEDICAL ISSUE OF ANY KIND!! With food and love he has already made HUGE improvements! So just because an animal has hair loss doesn't mean they should be put to sleep "right away"! 9/9/07 I needed to drop off a puppy that showed up at my house. When I called they said I couldn't bring him there because I didn't have an appointment. So I tried to explain about the puppy but she didn't want to hear it! We drive over an hour to get to our "appointment" only to have them tell us to our face that if you turn him over to us we take him in the back and put him to sleep because he has some hair loss. There were no tests done or anything. They didn't even get close enough to see why he had some hair loss. When we said we see them help animals in his condtion all the time on Animal Cops Houston she replied, "It is our choice to
