We used Dyer Appliance several years ago and were very pleased with their Customer Service and fair pricing, which is why I called them when my dryer recently stopped working. They sent out a repairman who said the dryer needed a new timer and quoted a price of $360, and he explained that the part cost over $200. When we balked at the cost, he said he would lower it to $270. We declined and paid the $60 service fee. We turned around and called an appliance part dealer and purchased the time for less than $100 and installed it in less than 30 minutes. When the dryer still wouldn't work, we determined that the electrical cord going into the dryer was also shot. When we called Dyer's (spoke to someone else--not the repairman) to see about replacing the cord and applying the $60 service fee they charged to the cost (their standard policy), they agreed to do it for an additional $60 and agreed to come out to our home after 2:30 pm the following day (we wouldn't be home till then).The repair
