A Taco Bell in sheep's clothing. Years ago I had eaten at another Taco Del Mar. My memories of that experience likened it to a Baja Fresh-level establishment, and were pleasant enough that I ventured into this location in search of a quick yet tasteful lunch. I was starving and looked forward to the enchilada-taco platter I had ordered with shredded beef. I added sour cream and guac to my order, although I was a little surprised that it was not included on the "platter" meal. From the first soggy bite I knew I had made a mistake by coming here. The food was bland, the tiny portion of sour cream runny, and the "guac" (they don't dare refer to this as guacamole) was of the same caulking gun-extruded variety one can find at Taco Time. The meat was chewy and dried out, yet somehow still swimming in a viscous orange-tinged oil. Aside from these complaints, the whole thing was bland overall. Two packets of salt and hot sauce couldn't even remedy this. The restaurant itself was in dire need
