There are many others around KC that are more famous, but Smoking Guns is excellent. It is the hidden gem of the northland. They quietly serve lunch there during the week that is absolutely delicious. The sandwiches, ribs, fries, and beans are the best menu items. The sandwich combo will fill you for a couple of days. The owner isn't half bad at winning competitions either, you can see many of his championship trophies there.
